Windows Manager — Help
All-in-one maintenance and customization for Windows 10 and Windows 11. The sections below follow the same left-hand tabs as the main program window (Automation through Misc. Utilities). Your installed build may not ship every module.
Overview
Windows Manager combines dozens of small tools into one launcher. Together they help you reclaim disk space, shorten boot time, reduce background load, clean or optimize the registry, protect privacy, and tune Explorer, menus, and visuals—without hunting through dozens of separate downloads.
After you start Windows Manager, pick a tab on the left (same names as in this help). Each tab lists large tiles; click a tile to open that tool. Help, About, and license or registration are on the main window. Updating the product is handled by Live Update (see the Live Update section at the end of this page); there is no separate Live Update tab on the main dashboard.
This page’s left column is the table of contents. In the product, window titles often look like Windows Manager — <Tool name>.

Getting started & safety
- Restore point: Before bulk changes (services, scheduled tasks, large registry operations), create a system restore point or backup.
- One change at a time: If something misbehaves, you can identify which tool caused it.
- Services & tasks: Disabling the wrong service or task can affect stability or features. Read descriptions and use conservative settings first.
- Registry: Export or back up keys you edit. Registry Cleaner / Defrag are powerful—use them when you understand what will be removed or compacted.
Recommended maintenance flow
- Automation tab: 1-Click Cleaner, then 1-Click Fixer or Repair Center.
- Optimizer tab: if the PC is still slow, review Startup Manager, Service Manager, and Task Scheduler Manager (only what you understand).
- Cleaner tab: Disk Analyzer / Duplicate Files Finder; Smart Uninstaller / Windows Apps Uninstaller when you need to remove software.
- Cleaner or Security: Registry Cleaner / Registry Defrag, Privacy Protector when appropriate.
- Customization tab: Explorer and shell tweaks (Context Menu Manager, Win + X Menu Editor, etc.).
Automation
Matches the Automation tab on the main window.
System Protection
Central hub for recovery-related actions: create or use restore points, optional automatic registry backup, and links to Windows recovery options (exact items depend on your Windows version).
- Create a restore point before major cleanups or optimization.
1-Click Cleaner
Runs a fast, guided cleanup of temporary files, caches, and common junk locations to free space with minimal decisions. Ideal as the first step in routine maintenance.
- Use when you want a quick cleanup without configuring many options.
- Review what will be deleted if the tool shows a summary before cleaning.
1-Click Fixer
Applies fixes for frequent Windows issues (file associations, shortcuts, system settings, etc., depending on version). Complements Repair Center for broader repair scenarios.
- Run after major updates if icons, shortcuts, or basic behaviors break.
- If a fix does not help, use Repair Center for more categories.
Optimization Wizard
Walks through recommended optimizations step by step (e.g. visual effects, services, startup). Good for users who want a guided path instead of opening each tool separately.
Repair Center
Central place to detect and repair a wide range of system problems—often organized by symptom (e.g. network, Explorer, system files). Use when 1-Click Fixer is not enough or you need category-specific repairs.
Information
Matches the Information tab (system information and diagnostics).
System Information
Reports OS version, hardware summary, and system details useful for support tickets and compatibility checks.
Process Manager
Shows running processes with CPU, memory, and related information. Use to identify heavy or suspicious processes before changing services or uninstalling software.
Event Viewer
Browses Windows event logs to find errors and warnings around crashes, services, and applications. Essential when diagnosing boot failures or recurring errors after changes.
Device Manager
Provides a convenient view of devices and drivers (scope depends on implementation). Use alongside vendor driver updates for hardware problems.
Hardware Monitor
Monitors sensors such as temperatures and fan speeds where supported by hardware. Helps diagnose overheating or unstable performance under load.
Optimizer
Matches the Optimizer tab (boot and runtime performance).
System Speed
Tweaks system settings that affect responsiveness and performance (visual effects, system policies, and other options—per version). Use with care and revert changes if you notice instability.
Boot Configuration
Edits the Windows boot configuration (BCD): timeout, safe-mode related options, and startup behavior where supported. Incorrect settings can affect boot—change only what you understand.
Startup Manager
Lists programs and entries that run at logon (Run keys, startup folders, etc.). Disabling unnecessary items often improves boot time and reduces background CPU and disk use.
Service Manager
Views and changes Windows services (start type: automatic, manual, disabled). Powerful—wrong changes can break networking, printing, or updates.
- Prefer documented recommendations or restore points before bulk disabling.
Task Scheduler Manager
Inspects and manages scheduled tasks that may wake the PC, run maintenance, or start background apps. Helps find “hidden” startup load that is not in the classic startup list.
Cleaner
Matches the Cleaner tab (disk space, uninstall, registry maintenance).
Disk Analyzer
Shows which folders and file types consume space so you can target large directories. Pairs well with Junk File Cleaner and Duplicate Files Finder.
Component Store Cleaner
Analyzes and trims the WinSxS / component store where Windows allows, to reduce disk use after updates. Can take a long time and may require a reboot—read on-screen warnings.
Smart Uninstaller
Removes desktop programs and searches for leftover files and registry entries after uninstall. Helps reduce clutter left by installers that do not clean up fully.
- Uninstall from the list rather than deleting program folders manually.
- Review leftovers before deleting if the tool lists them separately.
Windows Apps Uninstaller
Targets Microsoft Store apps and optional built-in apps (as supported by the tool and Windows version). Use when you need to remove UWP/Store packages that are not easy to remove from Settings alone.
- Removing system components can affect other features; uninstall only what you recognize.
Desktop Cleaner
Helps organize or clean the desktop (moving shortcuts and files to structured folders—behavior per version). Reduces clutter and accidental mis-clicks.
Junk File Cleaner
Scans user-defined or preset locations for junk files (temp folders, logs, caches, etc.). More configurable than 1-Click Cleaner for power users who want to include or exclude paths and file types.
- Preview scan results before deletion when possible.
- Exclude folders that contain projects or databases you must keep.
Duplicate Files Finder
Finds duplicate files by content or name across drives to reclaim space. Useful after migrations or when the same media was copied multiple times.
- Verify duplicates before mass delete—some “duplicates” are intentional (e.g. backup copies).
Registry Cleaner
Scans the registry for invalid references, orphaned keys, and common leftovers. Can reduce registry size and fix issues caused by incomplete uninstalls—always review or back up first.
Registry Defrag
Compacts and optimizes registry hive files to improve access time in some cases. Run when recommended by the product and not during heavy multitasking.
Customization
Matches the Customization tab (Explorer, visuals, shortcuts).
Custom System
Miscellaneous system tweaks and personalization options grouped in one place (exact options depend on version).
File Explorer Tweaker
Opens from a tile with a split menu: customize navigation pane, “This PC”, and related Explorer behaviors. On the button’s drop-down you may see:
- Navigation Pane Manager — left pane of File Explorer (Quick access, libraries, etc.).
- This PC Manager — which items appear under This PC.
- Drag File Action — drag-and-drop behavior options (as implemented).
Visual Customizer
Adjusts visual aspects of Windows (themes, colors, effects where supported).
JumpList Quick Launcher
Uses taskbar jumplist or similar mechanisms to pin frequent actions or paths for faster access.
Hotkey Manager
Defines global or application hotkeys to launch programs or actions quickly. Avoid conflicts with existing Windows shortcuts (e.g. Win + L).
Run Shortcut Creator
Creates shortcuts that work with the Run dialog or quick-launch patterns you configure—useful for power users who use Win + R often.
Security
Matches the Security tab.
System Security
Advanced Windows security and hardening options (policies and protections—scope varies by version). Review each option before applying.
Other Security
Additional security-related settings not covered by the other tiles (as implemented in your build).
Settings Security
Helps manage Windows Settings and Control Panel entries that relate to security and privacy from one place.
Files and Folders
Opens the file- and folder-security workspace: permissions, encryption-related options, and related safeguards (including tools such as File Security where your edition provides them).
Privacy Protector
Clears activity traces (browser history, recent lists, telemetry-related options as supported, etc.) according to your selections. Balance privacy with convenience—clearing some caches slows first launch of apps.
Security Lock
Restricts access to files, programs, or system features (per product design). Useful on shared PCs when combined with a clear policy.
Device Security
Restricts or protects access to drives and removable devices where supported.
File Undelete
Attempts to recover deleted files from supported volumes. Best results if you stop using the drive immediately after deletion and avoid writing new large files.
Network
Matches the Network tab.
System Network
Tweaks system-wide network settings and related parameters (adapters, performance, and OS options—per version).
URL Manager
Manages URL-related entries and access control for protocols and associations (scope depends on version).
IP Switcher
Switches between predefined IP/DNS profiles (home, office, lab). Saves time for users who change static IP settings frequently.
Wi-Fi Manager
Views and manages Wi-Fi profiles and connection history where supported.
Network Tools
Collection of diagnostics (ping, DNS lookup, routing helpers—exact tools depend on build). Use before blaming Wi-Fi hardware.
Network Monitor
Monitors network throughput and connections to see which processes use bandwidth. Helps diagnose slow internet vs. local disk or CPU limits.
Misc. Utilities
Matches the Misc. Utilities tab.
My Task
Creates scheduled tasks with flexible triggers (per version). Complements Task Scheduler Manager for personal or simple schedules.
Windows Utilities
Shortcuts to handy Windows settings and small built-in tools in one place (exact items depend on your Windows version).
File Splitter
Splits large files into smaller chunks for removable media or email limits, and merges them back. Pair with checksum verification for important archives.
Super Copy
Advanced file copy with queuing, pause/resume, or error handling (per version). Use for large migrations or unreliable drives.
Registry Tools
Miscellaneous registry utilities (favorites, jump lists, or editing helpers—exact features depend on version). Intended for advanced users comfortable with the registry.
Download Windows 11
Shortcut that opens Microsoft’s official Windows 11 download / installation assistant flow in your browser (wording and URL may change with Microsoft’s site). Requires an internet connection.
Live Update
You can have Windows Manager check for updates automatically each time the program starts when that option is turned on in the product settings. If a newer build is available, Live Update does not always require you to fetch the entire product again.
- Changed files only: When applicable, the updater retrieves only the files that were modified—not the full installer or the whole file set—so downloads stay smaller and faster.
- Full installer: You can still download the complete setup package and reinstall from scratch when you want a clean installation.
- Portable edition: You can also download a portable (“green”) build that runs without a traditional setup, which is handy on a USB stick or when you move the suite between PCs.
Which download types appear depends on your edition, version, and what the publisher provides for that release.
